Usually a mixture of interaction shots, spaces and branded products, reception photography is one of my favorite types of corporate event photography. Lighting conditions can change a lot when shooting outdoors, as it was today - from sunny afternoon to clouds and rain later in the day and finally a sunset a couple of hours later. Working in these conditions requires constant adjusting of camera settings and switching between the lens to capture wide angle group photos and spaces, as well as close-ups and lifestyle branded elements with a beautiful bokeh. To me, the variety of situations and creativity of possible angles is the part I enjoy about shooting the corporate events like this one. Typically, I try to include branding in the majority of photos, even portraiture - it's easy when there is at least a couple of banners presented. Few things I focus on are interactions, networking moments, branded products, lifestyle details that convey the atmosphere of the reception, and some larger scale space photos. Check out some of these moments I captured today at a corporate reception.
